Indian hip hop - Yogi B

Thanks to those wonderful people over at SepiaMutiny, we’ve got a confirmed video of Indian (well, Malaysian Tamil) hip hop.

“Damn It’s Gonna Blow” isn’t necessary great, but it’s an interesting look at how people are coming at what it is still pretty commercial hip hop, but from the other side of the world.

Yogi B, the main rapper in this little video, is the founder of a little group in Malaysia known as Poetic Ammo, but this is from his solo album called Vallavan.

So here’s the video. I find it pretty entertaining, but I’ll be the first to say it’s not the best thing I’ve ever heard.
