Make Your Girl An Online Muxtape

4 June 2008 One Comment by fu-quon

We all remember that scene in High Fidelity when John Cusack describes the delicate art of mixtape making. Well now the ability to express your love though song, and simultaneously demonstrate your excellent taste in music, has migrated online. Muxtape – no, that’s not a typo – allows users to upload mp3s and create their very own web-based mixtapes. Each mixtape is assigned a unique URL (for example, check out 4080’s unfinished audio collage at http://4080records.muxtape.com) that anyone can access, meaning you, your friends, and that special someone you’ve had your eye on can listen to your mixtape on any device with a web connection. Even better, Muxtape’s frontpage has a randomly generated list of other users’ tapes, so there’s always new music to discover. The future is now!
