Mystery on 5th Avenue

This is one of the coolest things I’ve read in ages.

A guy hires a company to renovate his expensive apartment and asks them to hide a poem that he wrote for his wife somewhere in it.  The company goes WAY above and beyond and creates a massive puzzle/scavenger hunt that’s built into the entire place.

It’s pretty much every kids dream.  Seriously.

There’s cryptic messages, hidden books, special cranks and keys and doors.

The best part is the guy did it nearly for free.  He got people to donate their time to the project, begged, borrowed, and stole efforts from a great many artists/artisans to help realize this dream.

It’s touching and amazing.
